At last, Positions (Deluxe) is finally here! Ariana Grande shared the news on Twitter this morning along with the albums's track list. Apart from the 34+35 Remix featuring Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion that was released in late January, the singer shared 10 to 15 second snippets of the new bonus tracks dropping on the deluxe album this Friday.
Last October, Grande released her sixth studio album Positions featuring collaborations with Doja Cat, The Weeknd, and Ty Dolla $ign. The songstress explored themes of sex and romance while being in love, a turn from her previous album Thank U, Next that was centered around healing and appreciating memories.
However, the critically-acclaimed body of work has been one of her best works yet! The album debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200 chart, making this her fifth album to reach this milestone. It also reached the peak position in seven other countries.
The snippets generated all buzz and excitement from fans all throughout the platform.
Someone Like U (Interlude) gave a hint at another R&B record (which we all seem to love so very much) topped off with the melodious sound of horns. The clip is only 10 seconds, but that's enough to tell it's going to be a hit.
The Test Drive snippet had some similarities with songs we heard in the "Thank U, Next" era. Fans say it's "giving throwback Ari," and I couldn't agree more. The lighter sound and harmonies favor many of her older songs, but slightly upgraded with her vocal ability.
Main Thing and Worst Behavior have the essence of a mellow pop song, and the Twitter community seemed to think these were the best ones.
Which bonus song are you most excited for?
